Types of third party quality inspection

There are four types of third party inspection:

1. Pre-production inspection
2. During production inspection
3. Final random inspection
4. Container loading inspection

Pre- production inspection:

Pre-production inspection is a type of third party inspection services, which is conducted in order to understand whether or not the quality of the raw materials used in the manufacturing process are in conformity with the specifications stated in the sales contract, is performed upon arrival of all raw materials at the exporter’s factory but before production is started.

During production inspection:

A During Production Inspection (DUPRO) is performed in the early stages of production when around 15-20% of orders are completed. It focuses the processes and products being produced so that any problems can be uncovered at an early stage, this will allow more time for reworking and correction. It will also confirm whether the production process is on schedule.

Final random inspection:

The Final Random Inspection (FRI) checks finished products when at least 80% of your order has been produced and export-packed. Samples are selected at random, according to AQL sampling standards and procedures.
The Final Random Inspection ensures that the product complies with your specifications and/or the terms of your purchase order or letter of credit.

Container loading inspection:

During a Container Loading, the inspector will select boxes at random to confirm each carton bears the quantity of product ordered, the quality matches the specifications and/or approved sample provided by you, and that all packaging material contains the correct barcodes, labeling, and packing materials. The entire container loading process is strictly supervised; ensuring all products paid for makes it on the truck. A CLC reduces risk of damage during shipment.
